PREMIUM WORKSHOPS

SCHEDULE IS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE

Once again, this year, we’re offering you an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and get to work with the finest masters in our hobby.

Along with some of your favorites from last year, we’re adding two new Premium Workshop clinicians this year.

PAINTING FIGURES w/DAVE REVELIA

Dave Revelia will teach you all his figure painting secrets in “Painting Figures with Dave Revelia”. You learn the techniques to creating realistic little people for your layouts and dioramas, regardless of the scale in which you model.

MODEL RAILROAD PHOTOGRAPHY w/ DAVE FRARY

No one is more qualified to teach model railroad photography than Dave Frary. With over 800 photos published, along with seven books, in his workshop, “Model Railroad Photography with Dave Frary”, Dave will translate his techniques on composition, subject matter and lighting. Bring your camera!

EASY BACKDROP PAINTING w/CHRIS LYONS

Chris Lyon is a wonderful modeler from Canada. He’ll present his workshop, “Easy Backdrop Painting with Chris Lyon” and show you just how simple it is to create a realistic and effective backdrop for your model railroad. Chris will discuss the materials and paints he uses, and you’ll actually paint your own backdrop!

BUILD A STRUCTURE FROM START TO FINISH

w/DOUG FOSCALE

Doug Foscale will take you through building a structure kit from start to finish, using the same techniques he uses in his structure dioramas. A small four wall kit will be provided to each participant, which will be built by you during the workshop.

WEATHERING STRUCTURES w/MIKE ROSE

Mike Rose is the guru of weathering. He’ll demonstrate how easy it is to create great looking weathering on structures in his workshop, “Weathering Structures with Mike Rose”. You’ll get to create weathering on corrugated aluminum, standing seam roofing, and many types of scale building materials.

The CSS Premium Workshops are limited to 20 craftsmen each, and is on a first come, first served basis. We are currently planning to offer each Workshop once, but may add additional times if there’s enough demand.

The Premium Workshops will take place on Wednesday, November 10th. The cost to attend each Workshop is $60.00, and a list of materials that each craftsman must bring with them will be posted approximately one month before CSS.
